We never market, rent, or sell your personal information to third-party advertisers.
Your data is processed in secure edge networks, minimizing the risk of exposure.
We collect your full name, date of birth, photographs of your driver's license, passport or official identity document, and biometric validations necessary for fraud prevention and identity verification (KYC - Know Your Customer). Your biometric data is processed transiently by certified security providers for 'liveness checks'. RentCar.do DOES NOT store raw facial scans on its servers nor use them under any circumstances to train third-party Artificial Intelligence models.
Credit/debit card information and billing address. Payment data is tokenized directly by PCI-DSS certified payment gateways (e.g., Stripe). RentCar.do does not store full card numbers in its databases.
Attention: For asset and driver security reasons, all our vehicles are equipped with active telemetry devices. We collect real-time data on location (GPS), speed, engine status, fuel levels, and impacts (G-sensor). Privacy Clarification: Telemetry is strictly mechanical and locational. Vehicles DO NOT include internal microphones or cameras, ensuring absolute privacy in the cabin. Dashboard cameras (Dashcams), if they exist due to insurance policies, will point solely and exclusively towards the outside of the vehicle.
We collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, and cookie identifiers to ensure the security of web transactions and improve the experience on our platform.
We only share your information in the following strictly necessary circumstances:
To Fleet Providers: We share your name, contact details, and license validation with the local rent-a-car owner of the vehicle you selected, solely and exclusively for the issuance of the physical rental contract. Under a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), it is strictly prohibited for the local Provider to retain or use the Renter's information for marketing, harassment, or future direct rental attempts (Bypass). Its use is strictly limited to the delivery logistics of the current reservation.
To Legal Authorities: We may disclose your data, including GPS and speed logs, if we are required by a valid court order issued by competent authorities of the Dominican Republic, especially in investigations of severe traffic accidents or illicit acts.
To Payment and Insurance Processors: For the management of collections, withholdings, and insurance claims for damage to the vehicle, including Credit Bureau companies in case of fraud or evasion of payments for fines/damages.
We retain your KYC data and contract records for a minimum period of 5 years due to tax, legal, and insurance requirements in the Dominican Republic.
High-frequency telemetry records (GPS/Speed) are systematically purged 90 days after your reservation ends, unless the vehicle has been involved in a dispute, accident, or infraction.
You can request the deletion of your account and personal data by navigating to our data deletion portal. Anti-Fraud Exception: Deletion will be denied and data forcefully retained if the account maintains a debit balance, is involved in a bank dispute (Chargeback), has pending traffic fines, or is under investigation for damage or fraud, protected by the legitimate interest of protecting the company.
