How pickup works at SDQ
Give us your flight number when you book. We track your arrival and, if the flight is delayed, we wait for you: a delay doesn't cost you the booking, even if you land in the middle of the night.
Once you're through immigration and customs, we meet you in the arrivals area with the vehicle ready. We check its condition and fuel level together, documented with photos, and you sign the contract. If you'd rather not pick it up at the airport, we deliver it to your hotel or Airbnb in Santo Domingo; we arrange the time on WhatsApp.
From the airport to the city
Las Américas International Airport is east of Santo Domingo, about 30 km from downtown along the Las Américas highway. Without traffic it's roughly 30 to 40 minutes to the Colonial Zone; at rush hour, much longer.
The highway has a toll. Every vehicle carries a Paso Rápido tag, so you don't need cash: crossings are added up at the end of the rental. If you're heading straight to Punta Cana, Bayahíbe or La Romana, you drive east from the airport without entering the city.
Which vehicle suits you
If you're only getting around the capital, a compact or economy sedan is the practical choice: the lowest daily rate, less fuel and easier parking in the Colonial Zone or Piantini.
Traveling as a family, with lots of luggage, or planning a weekend trip to Samaná or Jarabacoa? Look at the SUVs, including the 7-seaters.

What if my flight lands late or overnight?
If you give us your flight number when booking, we track your arrival and wait for you with the vehicle ready whenever you land.
Can I return the car somewhere else?
Yes. You can return it at the airport, your hotel or another point we agree on when you book. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange it.
Are there tolls between the airport and Santo Domingo?
Yes. The vehicle has a Paso Rápido tag, so you don't stop to pay; at the end of the rental we add up the crossings and charge them to your registered card or the deposit.
How much is the deposit?
It depends on the vehicle category and you see it before booking. It's held on your credit card and released when you return the vehicle; your bank may take 5 to 15 business days to show it.
